They got beat. But unlike most of you FAIRWEATHER fans, I will continue to support them. I have made it clear from day one who I support and I have been bashed for it all year. But I still support them. I wish I knew who all of your teams were. i may have been wrong on what I thought of them, the season is not over yet though. Hopefully they can get it together. It just looks like Herring has to do it all. Someone said chock needs more touches but it looks like when he does get them he misses. Why get a guy more shots if he is going to miss. As for the rest of the team, well I still like the center Lum. He just misses too many easy ones. Terai is a great ball handler, but does he really get that many assists? I saw herring get about 5 assists at the end of the game with what looked like the 3rd string. They just looked bad. I think they have 1 more against Pun on wednesday. Not a good game to have right before the playoffs.

Fanatic, yes I did get to watch them play and herring didnt get any help last night. While Holyfield was getting shot after shot(and knocking them down) herrings team was throwing up wild shots. I dont know how many shots he took in the game but it couldnt have been more than 9. He got 17 on 9 shots. I know that he is not the team, but when a player is getting that kind of production on that few of shots, they need to get him the ball. Maybe the coach needs to run more plays for him, I dont know. It just seems like he gets his shots when he can but not a lot ran for him. Holyfield on the other hand was on a different planet. He couldnt miss. He hit about every type of shot that there was except for dunking and he was close once on a breakaway but had to avoid the contact to lay it in. Alright fanatic, truce. We have all done our shit talking and lets get down to bball. My pick to win the ILH is Punahou. Even though they got blown out, they still have the right mix of talent. The only thing that can keep them from winning it all is coaching. I am not sold on Hale yet. We shall see if the school made the right choice in letting Tacon go. For the OIA it looks like it is Kalaheo hands down. Cant wait to see your responses.

Guarantees:
Kameron Steinhoff - Punahou
Taylor Mounts - Iolani

Probable:
Pi'i Minns - Kamehameha
Marcus Holyfield - Mid-Pacific
Richard Herring - Maryknoll
Pablo Warner - Iolani

Depending on how they break it down this year, they could all make it. That is if they do the 5-man first team with a separate POY.

69, sorry about your team last night. mine lost last night too.

"Its like I say to the younger guys that I train now, the more a guy talks, the more he is scared."

69, you sure do talk a lot about fighting. more talking than anyone else on here! are you scared??? I wish you would just talk about bball!

did you watch your team last night? i didnt have a chance to go watch as i was at iolani last night.

i saw herring had 17 points including 3-3pointers! i still don't like his attitude (your's either) but i tell you what, if his team finishes at least 4th place. he should be a shoe-in for ilh first team. 5th place or lower, than that might be a problem. he has shown up this year, where others have failed. i will get to see him play against the warriors tomorrow night.

Every time I post something you guys take it the wrong way. i was not posting to try and scare anybody. If you are scared when someone types something then you are a p----. I hope that I didnt scare anybody. I was simply stating an opinion about fanatic. Sorry if I related it to my former professional career. I was not trying to start any more shit. Please, lets just talk basketball. The playoffs are about to begin and I am excited!

Anyway to the game last night. I am starting to feel as if my spartans are falling. Midpac looked good, well Holyfield did anyway. How many did he end up with? 28 wow. He is starting to step up and so is the rest of the team. I cant wait to see how many of you jump back on the wagon and say that once again they are good. They are peaking at the right time. I cant wait to watch this third place tourney to see who gets the final spot at state.

No, 69, I didn't take any offense...let's put it this way, my dad fought for legendary promoter/manager "Sad" Sam Ichinose. World champion Ben Villaflor is my God-Father, but that's all I will say for now. Soon enough I will give out who I am!

Lots of people think my dad looks like a smaller version of George Foreman! He had only one shot at a world title in Japan (for vacant WBC), but he lost in a split decision to the hometown boy.

Listen man, I'm cool...I just like to talk basketball. I live and breathe basketball! So let's get back in the game and start talking about the game we love!!!

I am not sure. i do think that maryknoll did not look good. But I think that MPIs gameplan would have been different. It looked like they were just trying to get Holyfield the ball all night. With the other 2 players it would have been different. The way that Maryknoll played that night, I would say that MPI should have won if those 2 guys played. The game tonight will be interesting. I think that it is Maryknolls homecoming game and with MPI coming off a big win, this should be a fun game to watch.

My fighting comments were not to start anything with anybody. I was not trying to sound tough. What I was making was a comment to fanatic to let him know that I have dealt with many guys just lik him. I didnt want to offend any of the rest of you nor start any more beefs with any of you. If you took it that way then that is on you. And Jones, maybe you have met those guys. I was just messing with you on the Schwab comment. You see my spelling is not that good. I guess I Tuk won two manee two thu hed. hehe By the way, who was your dad, i might have known him. Was he a bigtime fighter. You dont have to let me know his name if you want to keep your identity hidden. Your mom was probably right in making you switch sports. I just found that I was good at hitting people and stuck with it. If I had a son then I would not want him to fight either. My head is ok but my body hurts everyday. I should have blocked more body blows.

Lets see. I fyou really know anything about fighting, you would know that years ago fighters fought 1 time month just to get by. Especially overseas. I had my pro fight at the age of 17. Doesnt BJ Penn have over 100 fights. Some guys, including myself, fought for a lot of different organizations. As for not being able to type or spell, well i guess that I ducked alot. I dont believe one word of all the guys that you met.

Over 75 pro fights? Are you sure because that's a lot!!! Let's do the math: Let's say you fought 3-4 times a year, since you factor in training for a fight takes about 4-6 weeks or so. That would mean you fought professionally for 18, maybe 19, years. That's amazing! I cannot think of a fighter that fought professionally for that long. My father was a professional fighter and travelled the world doing it. In his primetime years he fought 4 times in a year only once. His career lasted about 9 years. I trained for a while but my mom quickly signed me up for every other sport so I didn't have to make a living boxing like my dad.

Through my dad, I got to meet fighters like Sugar Ray Leonard, Muhammad Ali, Iron Mike Tyson, Oscar De La Hoya, to name a few. I had dinner once with Arturo Gatti and his manager. My passion for basketball is rivaled by boxing, my other love.

Come on 69. Tell us the truth, my brother! My father was a fighter. We housed other fighters that came to town. My dad still travels the world training other fighters. I know the life of a fighter! Besides, if you fought for 19 years, believe me, you wouldn't be able to spell, let alone use a computer!

Hehe!!!

If the season were to end today, here are my picks:

1st team:
Kameron Steinhoff, Punahou
Taylor Mounts, Iolani
Pii Minns, Kamehameha
Marcus Holyfield, Mid Pac
???

The fifth spot I am stuck between a few players:
If Punahou wins the championship - Manti Teo or Trevor Crabb.
If Iolani wins the championship - Pablo Warner.
If Kamehameha wins the championship - Outside shot on that team would be Auwae Derego. I like the idea of having two from the championship team. Here are the rest,
Richard Herring, Maryknoll
Micah McClinton, St. Louis

Get over it fanatic. WE are never going to meet. You remind me of guys that I used to fight against overseas, all talk and thats it. Same with some of the guys that I fought here in the States. At least they got in the ring with me. Lets just stop all the fight talk because everybody knows that it is not going to happen. I have had over 75 pro fights and I dont think that any of them ever talked as much as you do. As much as you talk, you should be a promoter. Man if i would have had a manager like you I would have made more money than i did (not that I am hurting). Its like I say to the younger guys that I train now, the more a guy talks, the more he is scared. Thats all I am going to say about any of this fighting crap.
