Very insightful HIFan...I share the same opinion with you that the ILH will be up for grabs this year. I have heard that Mililani could very well be the best team in the OIA...maybe even in the state! Their knock is playing in a conference that hasn't been too competitive lately. Sure doesn't help come playoff time.

Does anyone have any updated preseason schedules?

Thanx hshoopsjunkie. Iolani, Punahou, St. Louis, Kamehameha's Division 2 teams have formed their own league "ILH Division 2 AA" and will play each other in a double round robin format with playoffs. This came about with the state moved girls basketball to the winter. Punahou and Kamehameha would have been the favorites.

good stuff hifan. the oia east is going to be tough, but i do love moanalua to come out on top. the ilh is going to be crazy too. i gotta say i really think punahou can repeat ilh championship, with or without steinhoff, though it'd be much easier with. as for the ilh division 2, did you purposely leave out the "second" squads of teams like punahou, iolani, etc.? because even though they can't compete for states, one of them usually comes out on top in the conference.

OIA RED (East) - Most competitive league in the state, top to bottom. Austin and Lishman should contend for State Player of the Year.
1. Moanalua, 2. Kalaheo, 3. Kahuku, 4. Kaimuki, 5. Kailua, 6. Castle, 7. Roosevelt

OIA RED (West) - Can the West finally breakthrough and win a OIA championship? Maybe Mililani, but a weak league might be their downfall in the OIA playoffs.
1. Mililani, 2. Leilehua, 3. Campbell, 4. Radford, 5. Pearl City, 6. Waianae, 7. Kapolei

OIA WHITE - Aiea is one of the top teams in the state. McKinley, and Farrington will push Aiea for the state title.
1. Aiea, 2. McKinley, 3. Farrington, 4. Waipahu, 5. Thompson, 6. Nanakuli, 7. Waialua, 8. Kaiser, 9. Kalani, 10. Anuenue

ILH (Division I) - The most wide open race in recent memory with any one of four teams who could win the ILH title. With only 3 state berths, games vs. MPI and Maryknoll are big. Both teams could pull off an upset or two.
1. St. Louis, 2. Iolani, 3. Punahou, 4. Kamehameha, 5. Mid Pacific, 6. Maryknoll, 7. Damien

ILH (Division II) - The weakest league in the state top to bottom. University's Viernes is a player of note.
1. University, 2. Hawaii Baptist, 3. Hanalani, 4. Word of Life, 5. Lankila Baptist, 6. Lutheran, 7. AOP, 8. Christian Academby, 9. Le Jardin, 10. Assets

BIIF (Divison I) - A league with some bright stars. Will come down to which star shines the brightest.
1. Kamehameha, 2. Konawaena, 3. Honokaa, 4. Hilo, 5. Kealakehe, 6. Waiakea, 7. Keeau

BIIF (Division II) - Kohala was hit big time by graduation, but will still be the team to beat. There is no close second.
1. Kohala, 2. Hawaii Prep, 3. Pahoa, 4. St. Joseph, 5. Lapahoehoe, 6. Ka'u, 7. Parker

MIL (Division I) - Baldwin is a state contender and will be pushed by Kamehameha. Either team could be a tough out in the state tournament.
1. Baldwin, 2. Kamehameha, 3. Lahainaluna, 4. Maui, 5. King Kekaulike

MIL (Division II) - A league devistated by graduation. Seabury Hall is the favorite. St. Anthony will surprise and sneak into states.
1. Seabury Hall, 2. St. Anthony, 3. Molokai, 4. Hana, 5. Lanai, 6. Ka'ahumanu Hou

KIF (Division II) - Kauai is the team to beat. The Red Raiders look to avenge a poor showing at last year's states.
1. Kauai, 2. Waimea, 3. Kapa'a
