If you go to the Fab 48 website you will see that the Sharks lost their first game 68-58 to the BTI all stars from Cali and IMUA lost 42-37 in overtime to Team Future from Cali. I believe the Raiders and Sharks also play a 2nd game today right now as we speak. FYI IMUA is a team comprised of mostly Kam Kapalama Varsity players Dyrbe Enos, Frank Ho, Davis Achong, Beau Oshiro, Shane Matayoshi, and Shane Yoshida. The other 2 players are Drew Viena(STL) and Zac Pelzl(Radford). IMUA is the 3rd team from Hawaii playing in the Fab 48 along with the Sharks and Raiders representing the 808.

Yesterday(Friday) the Sharks won their last game in their pool and the Raiders lost. They both finished with 1-2 records and have met already today in the 3rd place championship division with the loser out. Team Imua lost another heartbreaker going 0-3 losing all 3 games by 5, 5, and 6 pts. They play their final game today and good luck to them as they try to get a win. Also good luck to the winner of the Sharks/Raiders as they compete for the 3rd place championship. The Sharks lost their first 2 games by 10, 17, and won their 3rd by unknown how much. The Raiders won their first game by 10, lost a heartbreaker in OT by 2, and then lost by 28. The Raiders were 3 pts away from the Championship bracket. If anyone has more info. please let us know.

Sharks played the Raiders this morning. Raiders beat the Sharks. Again. Raiders were up by 19 or 20 at the half and eventually won by 8 after the Sharks hit two very late 3's.

2D, Imua played another tough close game but this time came out on top winning by 7. So all Hawaii teams came out with at least a victory. Congrats, to the Raiders and good luck as they play on. As for the Sharks and Imua though their tournament play ended, they also represented the 808 well. Bring home the 3rd place championship Raiders.

Sweetbutta, the Hawaii Select team didn't lose by 30 to the Connecticut Flames team - they actually lost 56-35, which put them in the 3rd Place Playoff pool. They then played Team Phenom from Kileen, Texas and won a hard fought game 49-42. Tomorrow Select plays the Emerald City Force from Seattle at 11:30 a.m. in the final 3rd Place Playoff Pool game.

Unfortunately, it's obvious Coach Hogue is favoring players on his AOP team & those he's still trying to recruit to AOP with playing time. Two of Select's best outside shooters and defenders, Dylan King & the 6'1" kid from Le Jardin, are being overlooked and underplayed. Pretty tough for them to get in a rhythm playing so little.

Hawaii Select back in the 93' lost the Championship to a team from Kentucky. That's the farthest I believe any team from Hawaii has been. Select had Alika Smith, Donny Utu, Kawika Ordenstein, Darnell Arceneaux, Wes Pratt, Greg Miller, Scot Kato, Jerome Carvalho, and few more outstanding players on that team. They would have definitely destroy any all star team from hawaii now days.

No, Select played in the "AAU National West Coast Championships." Also referred to as the All Under One Roof, Jam on It Tournament. Other teams were from Nevada, Arizona, California, Washington, Colorado, Montana, Texas, Mississippi, Wisconsin, Ohio, Connecticut, etc.

Checking different websites shows three tournaments going on in Las Vegas, Fab 48, Star Vision Sports/Center Stage and AAU West Coast. Fab 48 seems very competitive, check of their website, numerous D-1 coaches are in attendance. Centerstage appears competitive, not much information given on AAU. Playing in the Fab 48m the Sharks and Raiders did well.
