The ABA will be returning to Hawaii. The nickname?... Pegasus. Hmm...

A couple of years ago George Gilmore (ex Chaminade star) was named head coach. Tryouts where at Kalaheo. Gilmore helped to bring players from the mainland over to Hawaii, then poof! It all fell apart. It left Gilmore confused and disappointed. Any word on who is being considered for head coach this time around?

Wont work. Especially if the plan is to put together another NCAA summer league all-star team like they do every time one of these teams gets started.

Honestly who wants to watch a bunch of not-good-enough-to-play-real-pro-ball-ex-college-mainlanders that think theyre the kings of the world.

I think their only chance is to grab the best local guys and try to be competitive. Maybe couple mainland guys but mostly locals.

Agreed, good point. I would certainly pay the high prices of their tickets and overpriced beer to watch our local talent compete rather than a bunch of mainland players I've never seen or even heard of representing Hawaii. Good insight HS. Bet Julian Sensly is looking into this as we speak. Ha, ha.

After thinking about it, we all should support any Basketball in Hawaii that could help as a stepping stone for our island players both young and old. And its always a good excuse to drink beer, right BBF69!.
