At St. Louis they dont have just basketball or baseball players. They have great athletes...all the athletes plays 2 or 3 sports in a year. Yes they do need better coaches but it will always be a football school...and at St. Louis..sinners are forgiven...good boys go to heaven...bad boys become SAINTS !!!

@Wildcats, funny! Keep your heads up Crusaders, their will always be haters and doubters out there who will take every opportunity to knock you guys down. Hopefully, your administration will get their act together and remember the students are the ones being most affected by their decisions and if they do things will turn around for you guys. Good luck with all this garbage you students are surrounded by at your school along with the idiots that are now in charge. Hurry up Saint Louis high a new AD asap and a good one that will be there longer than 2 years.

Oops my bad, i meant hire not higher a new AD asap!

all you guys are on it. it all started with the clueless ad. now all the truth is coming out but only the students are the only losers. time to clean house with hao & most of the old fat coaches. and the basketball program needs all new basketball coaches. not clueless & lazy ex saint louis playas who don't even show up to practices. losing two times to midpac at home is sad. we need good coaches who aren't crooks, liars, or haters. time to grow up. we have more class & maturity than most of the coaches. thats why our team cannot play as a team like iolani, moanalua, punahou, & kam. no discipline & no team work. but we get alot of hard working athletes.

@inyofas, you crack me up! Yup 2 losses at your home court to midpac is sad, especially for the seniors. Best of luck crusaders.

@coolrunnings
sad for most of the team but especially sad for the hard working 2 seniors that sat most of the game when the no class ASSt coaches son & family played while making most of the turnovers, being scored on & making cheap fouls. sad sorry coaches. we don't need luck we need good basketball coaches that know how to teach & use all the playas that deserve to belong on a basketball team.Posted 2 years ago # -
@inyofas, why voice your say now, why not tell it to the coach and his son who you feel has no business playing. Man up to your convictions and say what you feel, what do you have to lose? Your season is over, what can the coaches do now, not play you? LOL.

to inyofas:
if you talking about my brother playing, why dont you tell me who you are and you guys can play against each other anywhere, anytime...he deserved all the playing time he got and should of deserved more in my opinion not because hes my brother but because i know what he is capable of...so if you like respond i give you props, if not then be quiet
on an end note, if you were on the team you would know my dad had no say on who went in for the guards and helped out with only the forwards

@bulla, what's up brother. How's the college life. Saw you at the midpac game cheering on your crusaders. Sorry, but I had to represent the owls! Maybe we can play some pick up games at paki when you come back for spring break. Kden!

All the Crusaders need is some good coaches that will focus on fundamentals and defense. They have all the athletes...Also work on some off season stuffs...like summer league..clinics, camps. to get the kids bball ready. just a suggestion need coaches that are passionate about basketball.
Posted 2 years ago # -
All this stuff going on with the admin is obvioulsy affecting the student athletes. There's a strong "brotherhood" bond that takes place between the boys at school's such St.Louis and Damien. Clearly there's no "brotherhood" on the St.Louis basketball team or at the school so to speak. Instead you have St.Louis boys backstabbing other St.Louis boys! Sad. Hopefully the changes occuring over there will mean that brighter days are ahead for the Crusaders.

Dont worry...the SAINTS will be marching in...once again...they will turn it around...hire some good coaches...get the athletes bball ready...someone call The LT. Governor and Kaipo Spencer...and lets get this thing started....oh yeah Cal Lee and Staff will come out from no where...and all the haters can wear red and blue again...
Posted 2 years ago # -
NO not the LT.Gov, he's the main reason why the refs don't like the Saints. Plus, I don't think today's parents would appreciate all the profanity he uses when coaching. LOL

Theres a lot of potential good coaches that should turn around the SAINTS program....Darryl Gabriel , Randy Canencia , Sol Batoon , Kaipo Spencer ...the Coach from Holy Family , Darnell Arceneux (also football)
Posted 2 years ago # -
I think Gabriel is happy being a dad. Isn't Batoon busy being the St. Francis AD? What experience does Arceneux have?
Posted 2 years ago # -
@Wildcats, agree with Randy Canencia who was on the coaching staff this year at UH Lab and use to be an assistant coach for STL JV a few years prior, both of the Galacio brothers (Jonathan & Ed), Jonathan coached one of the STL intermediate teams this year and Ed used to be STL JV basketball coach about 4 years or more ago. Don’t think the Crusaders would mind to have Julian Nakanishi come in and change their basketball program around. Yes, and I did say Julian not Jesse (STL would love to have him too but don’t think he’ll be leaving Kam).

St. Louis needs to upgrade its facilities, have you seen their locker room? Iolani, Kamehameha and Punahou have top notch facilities, that is a big plus in recruiting.
Posted 2 years ago # -
@STL, since you claim to be from STL, why not get your fellow alumnus together and pitch in to upgrade the facilities.
Posted 2 years ago # -
It is no secret that the facilities are not great. They have a nice football field and practice on a baseball field without an outfield. @Coolrunnings, you seem to know everything about St.Louis, maybe you can work on this problem?
Posted 2 years ago # -
@STL, if I was a Crusader I would own it and not use it as a front like you. BTW, I hear as well as read a lot about what’s happening with their athletic program here on this site as well as Sports Hawaii Forum, in the media and from friends that are close to the program. So with that said, if I was an alumnus of STL as you claim to be maybe you should work on this problem, after all you were the first to talk about their facilities.
Posted 2 years ago # -
Sorry Coolrunnings, St. Louis does have outstanding facilities.
Posted 2 years ago # -
@STL, good come back! LMAO!
Posted 2 years ago # -
Wow.. the headline really peaked my interest when it said the the coaches and AD were "CANED".. I thought they were getting the singapore punishment, lol... But I see now that Hoopsta meant CANNED... In that case, can we get that Janitor to go and clean out that other all boys school in Mauve and Gold??? Please... Heck, i'm so desperate... Pretty please... lol

I heard the Holy Family coach is a st. louis alumni? is it true....is he a candidate for the job?..if not hes a good pick up? or is it somebody else.
