That's correct bigisle!
Games were fun...the kids enjoyed themselves throughout the contest.
Correct on the rising stars game...most of the fans pretty much knew it was gonna be lopsided...but not by that much!!! Wow! Young studs from the East-side overwhelmed!
On the other-hand, Surprised by the score though...not much with the win or loss...but more regarding the "low" scoring for the Seniors, both teams played "spurts of good defense" which led to more turnovers in the second half (mostly by the East-turnovers). West shot "lights out" in the 2nd half. East couldn't buy a bucket to be honest.
But you know what?...regardless of whom was winning throughout the contest, turnovers, charging calls, getting blocked and/or getting dunked on...there were a lot of smiles /hugs and high fives with teammates "as well as opponents" that were shared...what an awesome sight!
Even the coaches got carried away with grins from ear-2-ear!...Coach Bruce (for the East) even ran out on the floor to congratulate his player after a bucket made "during a fast-break that was coming straight at him!!! it was hilarious!
SHOT OF THE NIGHT ~ No it was'nt a dunk!!! It was a 5 foot shot from the baseline from Jacob Andrade...while lying "flat on his back" (after diving for a loose ball)..the crowd went NUTZ!
(this was when that coach from the East-side went ballistic, ran out on the floor and gave him some "high-fives!")
Hope to see this annually...good size crowd, alot of Uuuuuu's and ahhhhhh's and laughter!
