....boys... as far as the best 3 point percentage, i'd say Janado, Andrade, Sebi, Scotty... as for most 3 pointers made, i'd say Andrade, then Janado... as for the most perfect shooting form, i'd say Sebi...
...girls... most 3 points attempts, i'd say Moe, Santos, Okimoto... most accurate, i'd say Moe... nicest form and who should shoot more, I'd say Ferreira..
..just a thought..
Wong shoots the ball from the opposite side but has tremendous rythm and lift on his shot.
Andrade's off hand is on top of the ball at the release but that has always been the case so it works for him.
Issak is the best pure shooter in the league but he needs to attack the basket to get more open looks in the half court set.
Ita uses his legs well during his shot but needs to develop the shot fake and his jab step to be a factor during his Junior and Senior year.
Forgot to mention that Sebi has the best 3pt shot on the East side of the BIIF (I have not seen the kids from the West side). Lift, rythm & release are there. If he works hard and grows another 3 inches he will be the best college prospect that Hilo offers 2 years from now.
This may sound crazy but if you put SEBASTIAN on some weights he could actually shoot from a greater distance. I think he as the best 3pt shot.
The edge as best "3pt shooter" goes to Jacob Andrade. I say this because of his moxy! I may sound stupid but he takes the big shots and it has nothing to do with his 44pt outburst.
Issack Janado and Wong are worth mentioning.
Humble from behind the arc.
don't forget about Apele.. He does shoot as much as the other guys mention.. but Ill take him over anyone there cAause he could shoot it off the dribble
@Socrates and ShootZbrah good list and fun topic. Its amazing with the 3 point line that there are not more shooters here and even around the State. Why do you folks think that the shooting is not as good as it should be.
I agree, when Andrade is hot he is deadly and he can catch and shoot with the best. I think if more players would be ready to shoot and be locked loaded they would get much more opportunities at shots. Jus my opinion.
ohh that cabatu boy from kam is 100 percent three point shooter on the year, he lit it up against st.joseph their first game.
being 1 for 1 doesnt count
I would the best 3pt shot to Jake Andrade. He can shoot under pressure, and when hes on fire theres NOTHING that can stop him. I would also mention Issak Janado and Lanaki Apele who can sink shots from the three.
100 percent is 100 percent player23, that boy is amazing, he's big fast agile can shoot, and make amazing passes
I dont really think that a BIG POST should be out there shooting 3's.One 3?that must be a lucky shot!He should be down in the post and posting up!I would give it to Apele and Janado. If you leave them open then they can shoot the ball even with hands in the face most of the time.
well tadl1 he made it and faced that andrade boy from st.jo i was at that game he's a straight up beast
Sebi Easily... I think Sebi is the best Player saint Joe has No offence to his team. But sebi is the best shooter you'll find on this island, ...
But if your going for most points you could say Andrade, But you could also give Him most missed shots to....
Boys
1. Janado
2. Andrade
3. Meyer
4. Naehu
5. Saft
Girls
1. Dawnyelle Awa
2. Alyssa Ferreira
3. Lisa Okimoto
4. Jamielyn Moe
5. Thea Hanato Smith
from808, thank you for adding players from the West in a post sourcing "BIIF" players. Naehu and Saft are deadly all over the court, and consistent either covered or left open. Janado is great but limited to spots on the floor. Andrade is streaky, as much points as he's scored in some games, I've also seen him very cold in others. Scotty Wong can be added to the streak category. Meyer? Haven't seen a game where he's made more than 1 or 2.
Sebastian Ohara Saft great shooter leave him open hes deadly
Funny thing is, Sebi hasn't really had a good shooting game yet...Well maybe the second Hilo game...But he hasn't even shot nearly as good as he can....Almost all of St. Joe's guards shoot the 3 pretty well actually....
Handy has improved his 3pt shooting a lot this year also...
I personally have never seen Scotty Wong shoot well...I keep hearing it from everyone that he's a good shooter but have yet to see it...Probably needs to change his form...that is probably the worst form i've seen in a while...lol..
Just a question. If you have never seen him shoot how can you say he needs to change his form? Just curious, no disrespect to you B-Boi.
@OldG, yes i've seen him play numerous times...It is honestly one of the worst forms i've ever seen a high schooler with...I don't mean it to be disrespectful....There is no way you can honestly say his form is good...I wish there was a video of his shot somewhere...
I hear you on that. He and Scanlan Leite have unconventional shooting forms.
Janado's mid range jumper is better than his three pointer. If he took the ball to the hoop more off the jab series he would get more open looks and would be more of a threat.
isaac janado, mitchell shintani, tyler meyer, lanaki apele and sebi saft in that order.
@hoophawaiian
Thats it? What about Jacob Andrade, Thomas Naehu, Adam Andrade, Will Scanlan? These are good 3pt shooters too
scanlan and andrade are right behind them.however, being very familar with all of them, those named are the ones i would give the greenlight too and would want taking that all important last second game winner
