I'm pretty sure Leo Leopoldo from Farrington in '84 averaged 34 in the regular seaon.

I believe Leo went to HPU on scholarship after high school but played maybe only 1 or 2 years. He also played in the open leagues as he still does to this day. I know back in 1998 they had a semi-pro league called the Pacific Basketball league with many of the ex-High school and college guys like Kalia Mcgee, Tim Shepard, Kawika Hallums, Tony Randolph, George Gilmore, Llewellyn Smalley, Cavan Scanlan, and yours truly Leo Leopoldo along with his brother Steven. Those games were played at Palama and had some ballers. In high school Farrington played a very fast pace. Leo had the green light just like MJ and could shoot lights out from inside and deep past the 3 which was not yet recognized. In one game I know if you check the old papers or stats he shot over 40 times. I would say that he shot no less than 20 times a game. I believe he scored over 40pts several times.
I still see him today and he can still play.

Saw Leo playing at Lanakila back in the late 90's on a team with his brothers. They ruled that league for years. I had a team in there for a few years, we got spanked but it was a fun league. Leo lit us up all the time, he was unstoppable. I don't see anyone today who is as dominant a scorer as he was at Farrington. Not even close.

if he was a good player his team would have went far in the states, but let me remind u all the year he played he was not the best, there players like pete johnson, david hallums, paul lawrence, tony turner, all these players played college ball, he was a good player but the best?

@colbreddi~ You're right he wasn't the best player per say, but he was the best scorer. Brutha could light it up every single night no matter what the competition was. Gotta give him his due.....That's my humble thoughts.

Leo was very good and talented. Jarrin Akana also had some pretty good numbers as well.

Jarrin Akana! Small school product (Molokai Farmers MIL) and made it to the NBA.......as a coach. Still a very huge accomplishment.

oldg your right he could light it up, but when u are the only one on the team that has game u have to, i really didn't get a chance to see him play in high school, but i know this if i had put some of the players i knew i really don't think he could dominate.
