    Let the debate begin...

Everyone is always talking about the player who is the 'stars' of their team. Who is the best scrappy player, the Dennis Rodman's of their teams?...It would be nice to acknowledge these workhorses as well...

im sorry im not trying to be overly cocky but i think im up their yes CHRISTIAN STORMENT if you ask any coach's from the oia red west who is the main person that gets on your nervs and is always working hard up and down the court they would say me you can even ask a few refs

Yeh, but the characteristic of a scrappy player is someone who DOES NOT CARE if he gets the credit for being scrappy...sorry but a little to cocky for me...

i dont care if i get credit, maybe im just admiring my work on the court no matter what if you play the game of basketball everyone is trying to take credit for what they do best you think a good shooter just says "oh im not a good shooter my ball just so happens to go through the net everytime it gets released from my fingers".NO when you play the game you have a role on that team either your the shooter the rebounder the guy that can make every pass or the person that has a nose for the ball and thats ME. THATS NOT BEING COCKY ITS KNOWING MY ROLE

If you are Storment, I give you more credit than being just scrappy beacause box scores have shown you have an offensive game too.

How about you give a teammate who doesn't score much, who goes into the game only to either play defense or dive after loose balls, who knows his role and plays scrappy a little credit too...That's all I'm saying...

@ MRTIREDOFYOUTALKINGSHIT. ONLY SELFISH PEOPLE TALK ABOUT THEMSELF. ITS NOT A LITTLE COCKY YOU JUST A PUNK WHO THINK HE CAN PLAY BASKETBALL. YOU GUYS LOST I THOUGHT YOU SAID YOU GUYS WAS GOING UNDEFEATED. ALL I SEEN IN THAT T.V. GAME WAS SOMEBODY WHO GOT SCORED ON ABOUT 25 POINTS. REGUARDLESS IF YOU WASN'T WATCHING HIM HALF THE TIME WHAT HAPPENED TO THE SCRAPPIEST PLAYER IN THE STATE. I BELIEVE THE SCRAPPIEST PLAYER WOULD WATCH TH BEST PLAYER ON THE OTHER TEAM. YOU TOO BUSY TALKING ABOUT YOUR SELF AND NOT YOUR TEAM. OH WAIT YOU DO TALK ABOUT YOUR TEAMMATE AFTER YOU TALK ABOUT YOURSELF. THERE IS NO "I" IN TEAM YOU DON'T DO IT BY YOURSELF YOU DO IT WITH YOUR TEAMMATE. THE BEAUTY ABOUT FANS IS THEY COME TO SUPPORT WHETHER ITS GOOD OR BAD ATLEAST THEY COME. OPINION IS WHAT PEOPLE THINK BUT THEY HAVE THAT OPTION TO HAVE IT OR NOT.

    Reid Saito - Iolani

and after watching Kamehameha play, Dyrbe Enos and Shane Matayoshi are two of the scrappiest little guys around. They have stepped up big time to lessen the pressure on Christensen.

What is your reasoning behind Saito?

What's up with Iolani not playing Trev with the game on the line. Seems as if he would have been a factor in the game tonite. Does the coach have blind loyality??

jc foye dives for lose balls, takes the charges, rebounds, hustles, does exactly what the coach asks. best scrappy player

I wondered about that, too. Trev has the skills, but seemed a bit tentative when he was out there. Still, the others that were there out on the court didn't have his presence.

ILHfan2: Saito just seems to be get his points in a scrappy way. He is excellent defensively, takes charges, doesnt mind diving on the floor for loose balls, and he is a slasher to the basket for his points. I wouldnt say the scrappiest out there, but I think he is for Iolani. Skalman too though.

Reid Saito is a very scrappy player to me. He's the kinda guy that I would hate to play against because he's ugly and he has nothing to lose. (just kidding Reid) No offense. No but for real he is very scrappy and hard to read.

Mr. Storment aren't you supposed to be in School Studying and getting an education. I think that is way more important than your ego and Basketball. Don't want to see you working at 7-11 next year.

Mrtirade, are you the kid with the long hair? If so, I will say that you do play real hard. I would take you on my team. Keep playing hard and good luck with your season. I saw you guys play at the Kalaheo tourney and my coaches and I were talking about how you, if it is you that I am thinking of, remind us of a player that we had last year. Played his butt off. Made up for, maybe not as much talent as the rest of the players, but played more scrappy and tougher than the rest. Keep it up.

I'll admit too, Storment is scrappy, saw him play at the Radford preseason tournament...his attitude in this blog makes me believe he has that same scrappy "don't give a damn who I play" attitude on the court...I just hope his coaches have the ability to control this attitude into something positive for his 'team'...

@ Mr Tirade i apologize i used the wrong word. I didn't mean to use punk i meant full of yourself. I was just reading your comment and the first word came to mind was punk. So sorry. One question how far is your team going to go this year and why?

thank you all for your pleasing comments about me and imbaclk i accept your apology my coaches do control my attitude and they way i act they got me in this catagory that if i act up im hitting the bench so i realized that if i just be a leader and control my team we will win and my team gives me the respect for me to do so ive been on varsity since my sophmore year ive been on some really good teams and played against even better so i have the experience and my coaches lets me use it so props to my coaches for giving me the role of being a leader to be honest hopefully we go far in the oia playoffs our goal to just get there and then we will worry on how far we go campbell has the reputation of only winning up to the second game of the oia and loosing the first game in states so our goal is to get over that hump
