Kenny Ellis - Decent post player at best but will do well his senior year at Kailua. Not a true basketball player, per se, and is a better baseball player (pitcher), where I believe his future will be. In my opinion, he doesn't go as hard as he can, or be as dominant as he should be with his size and bulk. Nonetheless, his athleticism and size makes up for his lack of post moves, more so here in Hawaii where the average post player is 6'0".
2. Noah Chong-Viernes - True team player in every sense of the word, which is why he probably gave up more shots than he should have taken. In my opinion, I wish he had taken more shots. Has a better than average outside jumper, probably one of the better shooters in the league. Ball handling ability is also better than average, although he would rather hit the jumper than take the ball to the rack, absolutely nothing wrong with that though. Could have easily been named the POY in the ILH D2 league last year, and should be one of the better players in the league in his upcoming senior season. Very humble and respectful.
Brandon Bautista - Sorry HIFan, I haven't seen enough of this player to make a true and honest assessment of him. In reference to Kohala's success last year, I would imagine him to be a fine player.
Hope this helps...I still rubbing some makapiapia from the eye.
