Kristian Manuel should be there isntead of Tulonghari or Skalman. These picks are bogus
wow McK those two boys can ball I thought they should have been up higher. nobody could stay in front of Skalman all year even at the classic. and Tulonghari I seen him out play his best friend Christensen more than once. WOW
I agree McKevin that Manuel is definitely one of the top 15 players. He took a mediocre Campbell team to states. You put Manuel on Punahou, Iolani, Kamehameha, or other top teams and he goes off. His stats (points and shot attempts) wouldn't go up that much, or it could even decrease, but his FG% and assists probably go up. He is a very good player with a huge motor.
I had Manuel on my ballot. I only saw him a couple of times but he was really good. Could pass the ball and was very quick.
I never had the pleasure of seeing Manuel play. I wish him well.I just don't think you can take anything away from Skalman or Tolonghari.Aloha
So voting is still the same RC? I used to vote for Honda's Top 15 and Top defensive players.
I figured it might have changed a little, but I guess it's still the same.
Yeah, Paul sends us out the ballot with the Fab 15 on it and then we get the other things like defensive team, best snack bar, coolest unis, etc. It is fun voting for all of that stuff. If there was a best dressed coaching staff it would be Moanalua, hands down.
Skalman and Tulonghari are legit. They would start and star for any team in the State. ANY team.
Howzit Ed! Thanks...although, HF, doesn't think so. He doesn't think these two even belong on the All State team as well.

What are you guys talking about? I have not said anywhere that anyone specifically should be taken off the top 15 team. Please do not take my words out of context and slander the things I have said.

I NEVER SAID THAT ANYONE SPECIFIC SHOULD BE LEFT OFF. I JUST THINK MANUEL IS ONE OF THE TOP 15 PLAYERS.
I CHALLENGE anyone to find any post I have made regarding the FAB 15 players, where I have said either Skalman or Tulonghari should not be on the Top 15 list.
All I said was I agreed with McKevin that Manuel was a top player in my opinion and I further clarified it by stating that I felt he was a top 15 player. I never made a single comment about who he would replace.
@ Ed, it is not true. This is the order of my string of posts on this thread:
1) I asked who makes these picks, the coaches or Honda?
2) I asked Roosevelt Coach if he voted.
3) I stated that in my opinion that Manuel was a 1op 15 player, but I don't suggest, or even insinuate that he should replace anyone. Then I gave my opinion on how I felt he would perform if he was on a a better team such as Punahou, Iolani, or Kamehameha.
4) Then I said to Roosevelt Coach that the voting used today is still the same as when I used to vote a few years ago for Mr. Honda.
So I can't even phathom how anyone can sugest or insinuate how an assumption can be made off those statements that anyone should be left off the list sicne I never made one specific accusation or suggestion.
