Howzit guys. Can someone tell me what would happen if Kamehameha, Iolani, and Punahou ended up in a 3 way tie for first?

    Much Mahalos!

Howzit Imua. Here is what I think will happen...

If Iolani wins tonight, there will be a three way tie for first between the above mentioned teams. I don't believe a round robin tournament would work because each team could beat on each other again and end up with the same record. Instead, they could end up pulling straws or flipping a coin with one team sitting and waiting for the other two to play.

If Iolani loses, then Punahou will have the inside track to an ILH championship as well as the top seed in the state tourney. If Kamehameha wins out the rest of their games then they would take 2nd in the league and the league's automatic berth into states. This would leave Iolani in the 3rd place tourney with the rest of the ILH and a possible trip up to the big island.

Howzit guys...I just spoke with one of the ILH basketall administrators and he told me that if there is a 3 way tie there would be a coin flip to determine who sits and waits while the other two battle it out.

must be pulling numbers or something, right? how do you flip a coin with 3 teams tied?

"Flipping a coin" is just a generic term...sorry.

More than likely, and I have seen them do this in an ILH AD's office, they pull cards from a scattered deck. Highest card is the odd man out.

    Thanks!

imua90, guaranteed we know each other! Cool! I used to be the Biggest Warrior fan. Still am, especially in football. But my heart (and paycheck) is with 'Iolani during b-ball season!

Yup! Signed on for another 6 years...

Iolani Admin #1: "I thought that guy is gone after this year?"

Iolani Admin #2: "Nope. Youngest son got in. We got him for another six."

    Iolani Admin 1: "Oh my!"

I'm sure we do. It just seems that many people on here are not here to talk basketball. They want to pick on each other and badger people like little children. It is unfortunate. Do you know the facilitator of this site? Maybe he could do a little more to facilitate professionalism and internet ethics or netiquette. Well Iolani is a great team. I would have loved to see the Iolani-Punahou game I heard it was a doozy!

I hate to not talk bball as you stated, but you guys had some hot chicks in your class!

Game last night was a typical Punahou vs 'Iolani game at 'Iolani.

Packed gym, loud crowd, lot's of lead changes, and an exciting finish!

Iolani won. Great game by both teams. Went down to the wire. Could have gone either way. Taylor Crabb possible season-ending ankle injury. Henry Cassiday also injured and did not play in the second half. Three way tie for first with Kamehameha, Punahou and Iolani beating each other once each and losing to each other once each.

@ inyofas. Why would you even go there?
Your Saints team is young and will be a force to reckon with in the next couple of years, but they are not better than last year's team thats for sure. Good luck tomorrow because you're gonna need a lot of it.
