Havent heard much of the ILH D2 teams this year at all....

Any chance that some of them will compete with the top D2 teams like St. Joes or Roosevelt?

From what I have heard AOP and Island School are the top teams?...Not 100% sure though.

IPA and AOP may have a good record rite now but they are going to have a hard time. IPA is fast but limited on hight. AOP only has 1 0r 2 good palyers. I think that the school that is going to come out and get them is Lanakila Baptist. They beat HBA a pretty good team today 60-58. they have a lot of talent in cluding a short but awsome point guard. The also have Chase Halzlewood. An awsome player. They got 3 huge men and 1 of them number 42 shot 100% FG. Lanakila is going to be hard to beat. I expect to see them in the state tounoment.

Thanks for the update. What do you think are Lanakila Baptist's chances against St. Joes or Roosevelt?

Also how big are their 3 big guys?

if they were to play either team it would be a close game. Lanakila would have a fighting chance.

    They have a 6 foot 2 white guy a 6 foot guy and a 5 11 guy that can post up any1

if you were to play them you only got to worry about number 23 the point guard he is probaly the best player on that team

What league you in? they palyed against Sydny Grammer School and won. The also player Mililani High school and won. They are really bad at turnovers tho. I heard that they average 20 or more turnovers in a game.

wow, i wouldve thought that the chase kid would be the best on the team since he jus came back from a great season last year... i guess things have changed since i last heard of them...

You are maybe right Terai. I really would have loved to see that style of play succeed in a league where only Punahou 2 really presses. I thought that it would benefit them more than the old style. But I might be wrong. We'll see as the season progresses. I heard Lanakila Baptist is pretty good. But I'm not using that as an excuse. Hopefully they can get it done eventually.

Does anyone know anything about this year's Maryknoll and Le Jardin Boys' teams? Are they better now that they have their own gyms?

Maryknoll may be struggling, but I heard Le Jardin and Hanalani were both 3-0 going into last night's game at Hanalani & Le Jardin won a squeaker to go 4-0.

Christian Academy & Le Jardin had a helluva game at LJ's new gym last night with CA winning on Jason Ko's buzzer beater 3 at the end of the SECOND OVERTIME! Ko & Urcia once again carried CA's offense -- especially after LJ defended CA's Durand better late in the game. It was a great win for CA & a tough home loss for LJ. LJ may have won and been undefeated with better ball movement and unselfish play, and without so many fouls.
