I heard Iolani play very good team basketball, and the Raiders shot the ball well. But Iolani had a hard time stopping Micah Christenson, who had 23 points. A big win for the Raiders, who play Punahou next week. If they can knock off Punahou, there could be a three-way tie in the ILH for first and set up a play-off. The league gets two state Division I berths and the third-place team plays the Big Island's third-place team for the 12th and final state berth. Good job Raiders.

Wow! Two upsets tonight...Iolani topples #1 ranked Kamehameha and Kalani rolls over previously unbeaten Roosevelt in OIA Division 2.

This just makes for a great state tourney!

yup, we won 40 to 39.
it was a hell of a close game the whole time.
there was like 10 seconds left and we turned over the ball, then kahuku called a timeout. we denied akina and thompson took the last shot from the baseline and missed then it was a loose ball and the buzzer went off.
it was a great win, senior night too!

HF, I can't say, officially. I don't see why he wouldn't (Walt). He wants it. Chico wants him to have it. If I had to guess I'd think he should get it. However, again, no official word. I spoke to Walt last week. He has been away on business until tonight's game.

    All I know.

I was told that the principal may want to open up the position to the public, but that was told to me a while before from some administrators in the Windward District.

I personally think they should hire Coach Marciel.

PV...you are one of my favorite players. Very respectul both to yourself as well as the game. Good luck the rest of the way. Please send my regards to your mom...she did an excellent job raising a fine young man such as yourself.

    Aloha brother!
