Interesting seeding, no real surprises. I think Punahou is probably the #2 team in the state but it doesn't make that much of a difference. I don't think Kona will get much of a challenge until the finals. I like the first round matchup of Roosevelt-Millilani.

...wow Lahainaluna.. too good them.. i see they've been pretty consistent in going to states.. who's the coach? He or she must be setting the foundation for a tradition there.. that's great.. i like to see Maui and Kauai competing at that level..

    ..just a thought..

  5. DA ONLY WAY YHU CAN BEAT FARRINGTON IS IF YHU STOP TATUPU-LEOPOLDO..IF YHU STOP HER THEN DA GAME IS OVER..SHE SCORES HALF OF DA POINTS EACH GAME..ONE THING FARRINGTON CANT DO IS DRIBLLE..PRESS DEM DA WHOLE GAME THEN YHU WILL GET A VICTORY..IF I WAS CHALLENGIN FARRINGTON I WILL PLAY BOX AND 1..ONE MAN IS ALWAYS ON LEOPOLDO..AND THE REST IS PLAYIN BOX ZONE..FARRINGTON IS BEATABLE..THEY AINT DAT GREAT..THERE IS JUST NO COMPETION IN OAHU..HOPE KONAWAENA PUT A WHOOPING ON GOVS

Go Governor....is hard to say my team will make it to the final especially they must go pass Konawaena, even thou Tatupu-Leopoldo can do her thang is not enought for a one team player, so hopefully the other team mate step up....hey Socrates Lahainaluna been going to state for the last 8yrs and for the last 6yrs as i can remember they were seated #4 but never pass their first game, only last year they did but finish 3rd in STATE, coach is Todd Rickard, they have a pretty good point guard Maiki i went to see them play Punahou at the Farrington pre-season game, they beat Punahou with Maiki scorring more then half of the point (28) they have a pretty good post/center Milika she got some foul trouble at that game and mostly sat but if she didn't, they would of kill Punahou....Milika was named first team all star at STATE, she is a senior, i know they are going to fight for STATE cause i think this is the only year they can probably make it GOOD LUCK to all of them tomorrow....but look out here comes the GOVERNOR and their here to beat all team....

    Hey db.....
Punahou is were they should be #3, their pretty good school win most state title but each year is different, this year they lost one game at season, Lahainaluna beat them at pre-season, if they wanted to be #2 they should of step up and beat Lahainaluna, we will see they might end up playing on Thursday...

Hoop, I think Punahou will beat Lahainaluna but we will see. There's no real difference between being seeded second and third other than who you play in your first round game. Kona is the best team in that state and I don't think they'll be challenged until the final round.

57-43 kamie played an awesome game - i think close to a triple double all around game - scoring almost at will. waiakea played well at times but still a little inconsistent. i hope they bring there A game against Punahou it should be a good one. good luck waiakea

Roosevelt Girls were up 13 when I left with just over minute to go in the game. THey had a double digit lead pretty much the entire game. I think they hit something like 6-7 3s in the first half.

Yeah coach, looks like Iolani and Roosevelt both advance as well. It'll be interesting to see what Punahou does defensively against Imai.

I'm curious about the coaching situation with the girls team at Roosevelt. Who is really coaching that team? Not on paper, but in reality.

@ BREW: I agree! We have to take care of the ball better and me more agressive underneath. Punahou is a great defensive team.(All around actually)
We're so inconsistent in taking advantage of each possession after steals or turnover. But, great TEAM ball tonight!!! So excited for our kids!!
HAPPY FOR HPA too!! Go BIIF Teams!! GOOD LUCK KAMEHAMEHA & KONA!! Represent FBI!!

    YOU GOTTA LOVE THIS GAME!!
