    Waiakea-Hilo,

Mattos gets ejected. He cant play the next game. Waiakea still wins by 3.

    St.Joe-Kam,

Andrade and Wong gets ejected. Both wont be able to play their next game. I believe St.Joe has to play Hilo next(someone correct me if Im wrong). Its gonna be tough without Andrade. He did outscore Hilo by himself the last time they played. With Andrade out Hilo should have no problem beating St.Joe.

What? How can that be I thaught if you get ejected the only place they can be is in the locker room. So what now they going say he was'nt ejected so that he can play against hilo tommorrow night? Betta not because they are going to stir up trouble and not fair to the others that got ejected lastnight.

And from what I heard Andrade did get ejected and they betta not try to overturn that call a day later.

I'll be at that game and if I see Andrade playing oh boy the BIIF is going to stir up something that they will regret.

See that's how bad the reffing was..Technically he wasn't ejected then right?? If I was St. Joe's coach I would just play him and let the BIIF sort it out after...

Actually you don't have to leave the gym if you get ejected from the game...That is only if a coach gets two techs...Or they feel the player is endangering others...

Also just got word that Andrade is out tomorrow...

Why was Mattos ejected? I saw him snapping, but I never seen him attack anyone or touch anyone. I have seen many players get upset and not get ejected. What was the difference in this situation?

Also, Jace Carvalho had a great game. What was the difference in this game? Did he get more touches, did he receive the ball more in the low post, or did he just hit all his mid-range jumpers? Jus wondering, could someone fill me in.

    thanks

@ Brew, St. Joe's couldn't stop him from getting offensive boards...He also had a ton of free-throws...Props to him for making them...I didn't realize he was that good of a free-throw shooter...That's an excellent trait to have as a big man...

The main difference was the rebounding...I bet Kamehameha scored about half of their points on second shot attempts...I think Fairman got in some foul trouble pretty early...Can't remember but he was on the bench for a while...

idk y mattos was ejected. i heard he was trying to be the peace maker and shintani started talking trash to him and then mattos got ejected. i feel bad 4 mattos, he was having such a great season, stepped up to be a leader on his team and is playing with great composure.

hey bibby how come andrade's out 2mrw? was it because he was ejected? and if he was how come he was able to remain on the bench if you're suppose to go to the locker room? hmmm...inquiring minds want to know, lol.

    Actually regarding the technicals.

Both Keoni Wong and Jacob Andrade was given a tech each. From what I understand Wong didn't have to leave the court or bench. It was a coaches (Dominic Pacheco) decision to send him to the locker room, not a BIIF rule.
And thats why Jacob remained on the bench, because he could and the coach allowed it and thats okay too.

This is the version i got and i'm sure theres alot more versions but,

Jacob andrade bringing up the ball, already frustrated from "face guarding defense all night" Forearms wong in the chest, Wong goes flying to the floor, ref calls intentional /tech on Andrade and orders him to the bench, wong retaliates and pushes Andrade so he got kicked out as well. Lanaki appeared to be trying to kool off the situation "peace maker" but he shouldn't have grabbed Andrade, he should have grabbed his own teamate because due to this, Jacob Andrade's father attempted to go "on the court" walking down the stands, one step from the actually floor yelling at lanaki "don't touch my son you F'r!" From there, Eddie Andrade made himself look terrible while on a tirade of French words. Even a St. Joe Father had to sit by him the remainder of the game. Terrible!

Yeah Ed gets into it too much...I don't think it's that bad if he's saying it to the refs, but saying it to the players is going too far...

Actually the foul that was called on the floor was against Keoni Wong for blocking or reaching in as Andrade dribbled up the floor. Neither player should have been ejected. It was handled terribly. Check the other thread on the Kam vs. St Joe game.

Good win for waiakea and most of all coach Lee of waiakea. Like i said before coach lee was very happy to see these boys leave,to have to deal with the boys and there parents on a daily basis all year round...... IS NOT WORTHY.

I think that is correct, the original foul was on Keoni Wong, not Jacob.

    I'LL SAY THIS,

EDDIE ANDRADE who is Jacob Andrade's father, is a very poor example of a basketball fan and parent. History shows that he is very consistent in acting out like this at Refs AS WELL AS PLAYERS. His own family can attest to these actions! It's so unfortunate.
I did not see the actualy game with kam and St. joe, but i'm just going with history and others commenting about the game. with his history, i cannot doubt what people are saying about him. As they say "the apple doesn't fall far from the tree huh?

hmmmm, Jacob was 6 for 12 - 50% ???? He sure as heck shot more then 12 times!!!!!! Nice stats to say the least, I wonder who Kaipo34 could be, maybe the guy sitting on that folding chair, taking stats? Funny how he busted out the stats down to the percentages for only Jacob Andrade??? hmmmmmm

It was a physical game both ways and with BIIF officials its like going to vegas; you normally come back a loser either way, they are terrible to say the least both ways.

Keoni did foul Andrade but Andrade threw an elbow to Wong which cause him to hit the floor. Wong did not retaliate. He just jump up quickly. They then both got technicals and ejected for no reason.. Thanks to Barry"Tweetie Bird".

    @BIGFAN.
Did we not already discuss name dropping on a different thread? I think so. So save it.

I can tell you this, those ARE accurate numbers. Maybe a shot or two off, but anyone who takes stats, whether it be the statitician, parent, other coach, fan.. ur gunna miss a couple. But thats only a couple. No one is going to miss 15 shots like you are suggesting.

    @ Player23.
That is correct. And Barry really needs some help. Both Menatally, and with Reffing. He really screwed over both players.

Mattos got ejected because he was trying to be a peace maker between Libao & Shintani. When mattos went to break it up he told them cool it down, relax & play the game shintani hit mattos hands down and told him eh you "f..ka no touch me and that's when mattos went off his rockas. I think this was about to happen because the 1st time they met mattos & shintani fought for a loose ball on the ground, refs called a jump ball and mattos & shintani had some words but mattos managed to control himself.

These are high school teenagers (17 yr olds)it happens. I saw worse happen in high school ball. The thing about mattos when situations like this happens he does'nt hide his emotions to where others do so he ends up looking like the bad guy which actually he is'nt.

You do wrong, you pay the consequences, You try to do good and still you pay the consequences. Lose all the way around. The refs should of actually look at what mattos was trying to do (be a peacemaker)and they overlooked that and that's too bad cause now he has to pay the consequences (suspended next game)for trying to do good. What you gonna do!

Tru dat Shaka6. Its too bad for Mattos if he was just trying to be a peacemaker and he got a reaction like that. He has been really good this year controlling his emotions, and I think they might of judged him on past incidents, which is not fair to him. Hopefully Waiakea continues to bond and play together to get past Keaau w/out Mattos. If they do, this may be a blessing in disguise, because they might find some people who will step up and fill the roll to give the bigs a break or two.

Exactly what I said everything happens for a reason and maybe this was a blessing for them cause now they know who can step up off the bench and that is what happened with younger libao he was a little nervous, but played an awesome game, focused and did what he had to do. Now instead of waiakea being 8 deep maybe they can be 9 with younger libao and hopefully furumo boy can come around maybe they can go 10. Neva can tell.

Practice hard and you will earn your playing time. Like they say all it takes is one injury, incident and now you have to step up and earn your playing time.

Was so funny younger libao approached mattos after the game with big smiles & shakes and said thanks eh I got playing time and I made 7 points Mattos laughed and said at a way to step up.

lito Libao stepped up! he came off the bench after Mattos was ejected and really showed what he could do. he ended with 7 points and 9 rebounds. excuse me if im wrong but that doesnt sound like a player who should be sitting on the bench almost every game of the season. as an underclassmen, he has done really well especially against a powerhouse like Hilo. He blocked out, made good passes except for that last turnover. that was just the pressure getting to him. Hes never played at such a RAGING game. he just needs a lito more experience and my guess is hell be a real benefit to waiakea in the future

    Kamehameha stats:

    Lanaki Apele - 15 pts / 2 rebs / 2 assists/ 3 steals/ 4/4 from the line

    Jayce Carvalho - 24 pts / 12 rebs / 1 assist / 3 steals / 8/10 from the line

Keoni Wong, Nainoa Hiro and Jacob Kackley all with 4 pts each and combined for 3 rebs.

Defensive specialists - Adam "lock down" Andrade, Kekoa Turner and Jacob Kackley

Jacob Andrade had a good scoring night as well. He put the Cardinals on his back

19 pts ( although someone said he had 21), so I could be wrong / 6 rebs / 4 steals and a ton of free throws- definately would have been more if he didn't get ejected. He really improved on his free throws!

Both teams played very hard, officials let them play physical for most of the game but very inconsistent at times which frustrated the fans on both sides.

St. Joe will be a team to reckon with in the DII state tournament for sure!
