    Now that the free agency frenzy is basically over and Miami has acquired their 3 "Superstars," who else will they add? They still need a defender, another knock down shooter, and a couple of big bodies in my opinion. Here is a list of the rest of the free agents left.

    Very nice list. I really think that Shaq will be in Miami. I think that whole Kobe thing will make Shaq sign for the minimum just so he has a chance to tie and maybe pass Kobe in titles. It looks as though Big Z is trying to get to Miami as well. I wouldnt be surprised to see a guy like Nate Robinson there as well. Iverson may end up trying to go there as well to chase the title. Interested to see who else signs there.

    I think Iverson would be a great addition to the team, as long as he can accept a role purely as a facilitator, which I doubt.

    I don't think Shaq will head to Miami since he is a "one step forward, two steps back" kind of guy for them since he is a big body to bang with other bigs of the East, but at the same time he will clog the lane not only defensively but offensively as well. Not to mention his age.

    Also Shaq is receiving some very tempting offers and very good looks from Dallas since they have fallen out of the lead to acquire Al Jefferson, who is most likely heading to Utah now.

    dont they have to leave room for cp3 when he can go over.maybe they should look at oden im sure portland wants to unload him. after bron and bosh get a few rings the heat should ship them back to clevland and toronto that would be fun

    @shooter

    Mbenga is a poor man's version of Joel Anthony. Not sure if the heat would want him, and no reason for him to leave the Lakers since he already has rings with them and he hasn't even seen the light of day.

    Morrison is probably going to end up in Washington from what I have been reading. No idea why they want him, maybe as a Mike Miller replacement? Not too sure but he is definitely a huge downgrade from Miller.

    @menehunewater

    No way CP3 is coming to Miami anytime soon, they just wouldn't be able to afford him. He would have to wait until Lebron, Wade, and Bosh's contracts are up in 5 or 6 years to make a legitimate push to be on their team, and I doubt he would wait that long.

    Yes, Illgauskas is going to Miami. I have also been reading from many different sources that Juan Howard is close to signing a deal with the Heat. Look for that to be finalized in the next day or two.

    Al Jefferson is going to sign an offer in Utah as well.

    Looks like Tyson Chandler got traded to Dallas for Erick Dampier, Matt Carroll, and Eduardo Najera.

    Mavericks are also trying to sign Al Harrington and are preparing an offer sheet.

    @ d12 any truth behind the shaq to south beach rumor and if so isnt that a blow to kobe. anyone have any thoughts of heat vs lakers next season? it would seem like the lakers have the edge.

    @menehunewater

    I seriously doubt Shaq going to Miami, I think he is content having 4 rings already and would rather play somewhere else than in South Beach. Especially since he can get a lot more than the veteran's minimum if he signs with someone like the Hawks, or Mavericks. Who knows though? The Hawks are pressed for cash after Joe Johnson's ridiculous contract and the Mavericks just acquired Tyson Chandler in a trade, and they have also resigned Brendan Haywood. It's hard to see Shaq fitting into a spot with them now.

    When it comes down to it Shaq might have to accept the fact that if he wants to play on a team that aren't cellar dwellers then he might have to sign on a team for a lot less money than previously expected. A few teams that do need a center Atlanta, Boston and Miami. I think it's going to come down to one of those 3 teams.

    Also, everyone kept saying that the Spurs were the team he was headed towards, but they have recently devoted all efforts and available cash to Thiago Splitter, a project player that was drafted in 2007, and finally brought him over after playing a few years over-seas and improving his game. They are also more concerned about re-signing Matt Bonner at this point from numerous reports. So it looks like we can write off San Antonio as the team he would head to since they also couldn't offer him anything more than the veteran's minimum.

    Let's not forget that Miami is going to sign Big Z as well.

    you have listed roger mason as a free agent im very surprized that san antonio didnt resign him do you think they are or which team do you see him going to

    He fell out of the rotation last year for the Spurs and only averaged around 6.3 Points/Per so it's not too surprising that the Spurs didn't re-sign him.

    Utah is a team that I could see him going to as they are in need of help at the 2 spot.

    Looks like Denver reached an agreement in principle Tuesday night on a five-year, $34 million contract with Al Harrington.

    I guess Dallas couldn't match that. Don't blame them, he is purely one dimensional, can only score, and plays absolutely no defense.

    with iggy and haslem in the fold, things are definitely heating up in miami! would not be surprised if shaq ends up with heat. played with both wade and lbj! (and riley) huge upside despite age. (now might back up iggy!) temperatures rising in florida! things are looking good in south beach! chandler for dampier is a great score for dallas!

    A huge upgrade for Dallas at the center position. He runs the floor well, is a great rebounder, and a shot blocking presence.

    I still think Dallas needs one more athletic wing who can put points up in crunch time, to be true contenders in the West.

    d12, dampier runs like a erector set man, a transformer, always did. if shaq signs with miami, all lbj did was keep his bigs and got rid of the rest. and the way things are coming together for the heat, lbj's move to south beach looks very, very promising.( much better now than any of lbj's cleveland's teams) heat and lakers in next years finals? wow! ( waiting for lakers to make their move!)

    I heard Hi-Low is getting calls to be Miamis starting pg and is expected to be the 3 point specialist...and the first player/coach since Mike Dunleavy Sr.....

    I know for a fact that Hi-Low has retired, having played with or against almost everybody in Hawaii during his playing days. He only plays now for fun with some good-looking guard that looks like BJ Penn and shoots like Jason Kidd.

    Of course, when you use BJ's name, you've got to say "good looking" or he'll toss a rear-naked choke on you and it's lights out. (lol)

    @Hi-Low, I'm not sure if you mean rookie Jason Kidd or last couple of years Jason Kidd...lol...big difference...lol...

    Also heard Penny wants to try and play for the Heat...lol...I'm waiting for Jordan to come out of retirement and give it another go...lol..

    I don't know how he would do it all. He claims to be in good enough shape to play, which me might be, however I am curious to see his quickness, basketball IQ/thought process on the court, decision making, and how he handles pressure situations. He might be in a game during crunch time and at 39 years old with bad knees, and various other injuries throughout his career, how will he respond to that?

    I think it's more like he wants to pull a Darko, and ride his way to a ring on the bench.

    miami's additions.......did they help the cause? you bet! no doubt, without the additions of lbj and bosh, wade would be watching the finals out in the backyard with the bbq going full blast! with the additions, wade and the heat have set up the bbq grill in their south beach gym, lookin to grill some texas beef today. forgot about caron butler. huge loss for dallas. covers lbj better than anyone else in the league. glad to see everybody else healthy though.(keep an eye on chandler, the human eraser. marvin barnes was the original) no excuses. miami in 6.

    lbj, the one and only addition, will grab his first "RING' this year. only three games left. he's gonna step it up, i guarantee it. didnt the 1st four games. laid back purposely. (what?) let his team mates run around for the first 4. like a conductor directing his orchestra! being critized for disapearing in this series. and yet the heat should have won the two they lost, despite a quiet james! his behavior doesnt surprise me. lebrons been doing the same thing all season. theres a certain pattern to his play. trying to improve his passing and assists, getting others involved, and he has! and like boston and chicago, when the moneys on the line, the BIG games, it was lbj who cashed everybodys checks! king james will be officially crowned this year. pretty good addition.

    @ hoopawaiian 1 championship = king and crown? what about mj what about kobe. these two got there rings by hard work and commitment they didn't have to jump on the magic carpet with 2 other stars. don't you think if lbj stayed at clevland and won a championship down the road it would have been sweeter and more meaningful. after they win the championship, there will be the question who is the best and who is the real mvp.up to this point i would say dwade. even if lbj gets 8 rings in a row can you even put him in the conversation with mj kobe hakeem shaq magic bird duncan?? especially if dwade wins all the mvp's.

    take lbj out of the picture and the heat are back home. plain and simple and the truth. he is the magic carpet! agree, personally would have loved to see hometown boy bring title to cleveland! was alittle disappointed when he left but, basketball decision wise? he made the right choice. has gone farther with miami in 1 year than all the years with the cavs! and miami made the right addition! ( miami addition: 1+2= "RINGS" )
