out in the middle of the ocean. closest neighbor, california, 2,600 miles away. basketball? what do i know? i know this. lebron james, MVP. makes espn top ten plays every night he plays, either on offense OR defense. michael jordan, karl malone, and magic all rolled into one. kobe and durant to follow in that order. stepping out early with this, cleveland wins it all this year. seen it coming the last two seasons. then again, what do i know?

lebron will be there. as for kobe, his road is alot more rocky, more boulders in the way (a big boulder in the rockies, denver) hope he makes it!

That would be a "best of 7 series" for the ages....Lakers (Kobe) vs Cavs (Lebron).

It could happen! I do agree with "hoopwaiian" it might be a little more difficult to get there for Kobe.

the west is tough this year look out for the mavs since the trades they have been very good, the nuggets havent proven that they can win big games yet, carmello is a choker. in the east if boston can get back on track they could compete but too old. orlando needs more consistant play from d howard.and of coarse my team the bulls not this year and not next about 2 players away, big and 2. i know the lakers will have a tough road ahead but never count out the rapist (kobe)i'm a laker hater.

you braddahs are sharp! dallas and denver are the two boulders im talking about. when it comes to crunch time, the lakers tend to go soft when playing physical teams. with the addition of butler and haywood to dallas, and the maturing of denver, kobe and company are going to have thier hands full. nevertheless, kobe will sink his fangs in, let the venom work its wonder over a 7 game playoff series, and the lakers should come out of the pit. and that is what the western div.is--its a pit full of snakes from denver and all over texas. (dallas should rest dirk. i would like to see him play full strength in the playoffs for a change.) then again, just wishful thinking.

been 3 weeks. lebron got this years nba most valuable player award, albeit the HUBIE award. not much has changed kobes looking a little tired, dirk is healthy, everybodys resting. lebron still on course, MVP hang on bradahs, its going to get interesting! again, im stepping out and concedeing to the cavs. they need to use boobie more in the playoffs. great big game shooter.

my boy lbj got raked over the coals today from all angles, especially on espn. deserved it. played scared. but i had to remind myself, hes only 25 years old, a kid! dr.j once said " you have to dare to be great".thats what lebron needs to do tomorrow. i expect lbj to come out big. shoot more threes, and bring in boobie, their best 3 point shooter. i still BELIEVE.

LeBron is injured, it's obvious, and his supporting cast is bad! This may be the worst supporting cast for a top seed in the history of the NBA.

Mo Williams disappears in the playoffs. Milwaukee didn't resign him and the only interest he got was from Cleveland and Miami.

Anthony Parker didn't do much in Toronto and took him a while to make it to the NBA.

Delonte West is an undersized tweener guard who's manic depressive. Boobie Gibson hasn't hit a big shot in 3 years now.

Shaq is like 100 and Big Z is 99.

Verajao is decent but provides no scoring what so ever. He is an energy off the bench at best.

Jamison can score, but he is a very small 4, who can't defend in the post. It's no coincidence that Jamison has been on 4 teams. He is a 3rd or 4th option on most playoff teams.

Hickson may be good someday, but now he is just potential and that is all. Moon can defend, but couldn't make a shot if the rim's diameter was double in size.

LeBron's supporting roster is so bad is borderline pathetic. If Lebron wasn't on this team, they would be bottom 3, guaranteed.

Let's match them up with the Lakers.....

    PG - Williams vs. Fisher
    SG - Parker vs. Bryant
    C - O'Neal vs. Bynum
    SF - James vs. Artest
    PF - Jamison vs. Gasol
6th Man - Verejao vs. Odom

Cleveland has only one advantage and that is at the 3. Fisher makes more shots than Williams and is clutch. Bryant as an older man is year ahead of Parker. Gasol has a size and skill advantage over Jamison. Shaq ia 100, enough said. Odom is like a 5 tool player. Verejao is a 1 tool player.

There is such a discrepancy in talent, it's ridiculous!

just pau watch espn. still rakjng my boy! its all good! lbj has been called out by everyone! yeah, his cast sucks. disappeared last year too! its the premiere pressure game situation of the season for the cavs. basketball life or death, win or go home. lbj shoots threes, goes into the post, and bring in boobie. head back to cleveland!

I just cant believe all the crap that he said after the game. Sounded like a real ass. Back in the good ol days of basketball, you never heard of Magic might be leaving, or Bird is going somewhere else. Those guys were loyal and they were winners. I really don't know if LeBron will ever win a title. He is going to get so much money that they will not be able to put a supporting cast around him. But you can tell that a title is not that important to him right now. Magic and Bird would have been pissed about that game and made sure the other team knew they were in trouble in the next one. But not LBJ, he just says, "3 bad games in 7 years." Anyone else would have just said "My bad tonight but I will make it up in the next game." Or maybe something a little more scary than that. lol I think he is the best player in the league, but until he learns to win in the playoffs and learns to handle himself better, he can join my man Barkley on the all-time best player team that never won a title.

LBJ: Great talent, great business acumen
No character or courage of conviction!

o' ye of little faith! lbj will do his talking in one hour! this is his breakout game. legends are born in games such as this. magic, bird, michael all went thru this. its lebrons turn. the stage is set. its put up or shut up. see you after the game!

LeBron is the best player in the NBA right now. He is asked to do the most with little help. Kobe is more of a winner than LeBron, but he has a way better supporting cast.

Let's remember 2005-2006 when Kobe was in his prime. The Lakers was the 7th seed and lost in the first round.

Kobe's roster was just as bad as LeBron's. Many winners in teh NBA have won because they always had 1-2 more legit players. LeBron doesn't. And he is surrounded by an overmatched coach. Kobe had Phil Jackson & LeBron has Mike Brown, huge difference.

I think Kobe is better just for the fact that he is a better 3 point shooter, pull up jumpers, and free throws.

Aside from blocking people's shot from behind on breakaway layups, I also feel Kobe is a better defender. Specifically, a lock down defender.

Kobe is so much better than being the "best closer" in the game as so many people like to call him, but indeed, no one finishes as well as he does.

Also, Kobe has more competitive fire than Lebron.

That's not to say LeBron can't or won't improve in these areas.

Big time players step up in big time games.

Hopefully King James will step up today.

disgusting! too many turnovers.( last count i heard was 23 ) lbj had a triple double but, too many turnovers. coach brown should be getting a call from management soon. on the flipside, bostons old school style is impressive! no flash, no pizzaz, no superstars, just blue collar celtic ball! impressive! rondo is one of the premiere guards in the league today. oh well, better put away my cavs jacket and pull out my magic, lakers and boston jackets. go kobe!

Brown makes barely any adjustments during the game. They play a style that is fine for the regular season, but doesn't work in the playoffs. They walk the ball up to much and don't get an easy offense. They are defensively challenged at every position except the 3. Williams cannot guard. Parker is too old and slow. Verajao is a good rebounder but cannot guard quicker 4's and he doesn't exploit smaller 4's on the offensive end. Shaq is 100.
