    @HoopFanatic

    How can you put Keaau in the top 10? No BIIF team should be in the top 10.

    I would still put Kahuku over Kalaheo since they both are 1-1 in head to head games in the regular season, but Kahuku has 2 losses, while Kalaheo has 3 losses in league play.

    Waianae is a good pick. Hard to figure out how good they are. I don't recall them playing any good D1 teams in the preseason or Roosevelt yet.

    1. Kamehameha-Not surprised by the convincing win. No Bajet, no problem. Just plug in one of young kids. Is a repeat possible? Looks like it now. As always, best player, best coaches and best cheerleaders.

    2. Moanalua-Why not? The object is to win games and that's what they do, are they better than any of members of the Holy Trinity? Only time will tell.OC16 likes them, we should as well, dispite some shortcomings this team plays with energy and attitude.

    3. Punahou-Two games in a row the Puns have given up 30 points or more in the first
    half, Championship Teams don't do that. Still a very good team that is dangerous. Are they a half court pound the post team or a wide open perimiter, if they choose the post option then look out.

    4. Iolani-Seems they made some rotation adjustments against the Saints. Appeared to be willing to play all of their post guys, step in the right direction for the team that has not
    performed the way we all thought they would. Still have KHS and Puns on the schedule, need to sweep or they'll be in the 3rd place Tournament for the 1st time in a 100 years!

    5. Roosevelt-Since no Div I teams wants this spot, give It to the Rough Riders who keep spanking the white division around. The big boy is legit and should be considered for All State honors. The Div II State Tournament is going to be great this year.

    6. Kalaheo-Huge win over the Kahuku Boy's last night. Throw in their spirited effort against Moanalua last week proves that no coach can make a team get better durring a
    season than Chico. Not sure if they can a State Title, but never countbout a team that peeks at the right time.

    7. Campbell-I know they lost to Mililani twice, but at least the Sabers didn't lose back to back games to Radford and Leilehua like the Trojans just did. Not scoring as much as they did early on but are playing better on the defensive side.

    8. Kahuku-Akina hits seven 3's last night and they still lose, he scores 31 against Moanalua and they lost, see a pattern developing here? They got's to get some help to get more balance. Still a threat, but not a good sign to put so much on one kids shoulders.

    9. Waianae-Undefeated in the White, can't name a single player on this team. Have no idea on how they play. But with Big Isle and Maui Teams beating each other I'll go with them, wish they would put a court on their football field so we watch a game over there.

    10. St Joe-Tough loss last night, but who's left?

    @HoopFanatic

    Waianae played 3 Division 1 teams in the preseason.

    1) They played Kalaheo and lost 53-43. This was Waianae's first preseason game of the year, and the game was tied 43-43 with 3 minutes left. Aaron Fernandez scored 8 straight after that.

    2) They played Kapolei and won 58-39. Second preseason game of the year. 58-39 is not the exact score but Waianae scored 58 and won by about 20.

    3) They played Kahuku and lost 66-60. Another game that they were only down by 2 with a couple minutes left. Really good game.

    Thanks for the info. Those are pretty competitive scores. It would be interesting to see how those two games would go now. Obviously Waianae probably has improved. But, Kahuku and Kalaheo are different teams from the preseason.

    And, I feel competing against teams such as Moanalua, Kahuku, Kalaheo, and Kaimuki speeds up the learning curve.

    just because a team is undefeated does not mean they should be ranked in the top 10. I did get a chance to see waianae play. They are very athletic and has good size. Not top 10 material.
