Can someone please tell me. I just watched the rerun of tonight's Punahou-Kam game. Why didn't Kam just foul Punahou so they couldn't take a shot? Punahou held the ball and never tried to enter until 10 seconds left and had the ball in the corner looking to still pass with 8.5 seconds left. Cassidy passed it to Johnson who got off a 3-4 foot shot to tie but missed. My wife even thought he got fouled. With so many fouls to give why do you people think Kam didn't foul so Punahou never ever got off a shot. If they fouled then Punahou would never had enough time to ever take a shot. I think they had 3-4 fouls to give. But great win by Kamehameha. Should be exciting tomorrow. Is OC-16 televising it again?

Kam has given us two exciting games in Moanalua and Punahou. Nakanishi is presently the best in the state, his teams are aggressive and win playing defense. I am not a Punahou fan and was cheering Kam. 0/0 free throws for Punahou, 13/19 free throws for Kam in the first half. Buckner was getting mauled.

Following the refs this season, they have turned many games. Being a referee, you have to be neutral, no personal feelings. It is a thankless job. Let teams lose, do not have referees decide games.

StL- you're right, Bucker was getting mauled, especially the obvious "no call" at the end of regulation when his shooting arm was hit hard. It was an obvious foul, and again, a no call. I know, I know, Punahou had their chances and bad calls are part of the game and yadda yadda yadda. It doesn't change the fact that in the closing seconds of two straight games Kamehameha has gotten away with two crucial fouls that weren't called. It makes me think that if the game is close tonight, Iolani's gonna get hosed.

Mainland referees let the players play. You do not see the tic tac fouls. Games get physical, but they are quick pace. Hawaii referees love to blow that whistle. One play in which two referees blew a whistle in last nights Pun-Kam game. One called Christensen for a charge, the second called a blocking foul. Ultimately the blocking foul was called. In a close game like these, it becomes the deciding factor.
