i think that pahoa will beat kam tonight becasue kam is just a horrible team. Sure they beat st.jo but shit st.jo went into that game thinking they were gonna win, im oretty sure pahoa is gonna crush their shot at playoffs

I honestly can't call this one...Kam really killed St. Joe's on the boards, but I don't see them being able to do that to Pahoa...BUT, i still think Kam is the better team....But Kam could struggle against Pahoa's zone....but Pahoa's guards are going to struggle if the refs allow Kam's guards to get physical(not saying Kam fouls or plays dirty, but you know how the refs go from extremes when reffing...touch fouls are called one minute, a complete mauling uncalled..)..if they allow Kam to play physical Pahoa's guards are in for some trouble, if they call every ticky tack foul then Kam's guards are in for a short night....

The main factors are if Kam can hit outside shots, pressure Pahoa's guards and control the boards..If they do that they win...If not they lose...

..game is tied 25-25 at the half.. kam not in the groove.. refs calling it pretty good... Ekau and Bird strong for pahoa.. apele struggling at the point.. just waited 15 sec. to attack the basket before the half and then loses the ball.. okay, back to the game.. updates in 40..

..game pau.. kam prevails by 5.. pulls it together.. scored most of their points off their defense.. coaching learning that their best offense is not their "system" but their defense.. great pressure by the guards.. Ekau was tough.. unreal block shots.. Bird was also tough for pahoa.. Hero is stepping up for Kam.. Carvalho should stay inside, never mind that 15ft jumper cause it's a much lower percentage shot for him.. Apele missed a bunch of three's, had some turnovers, but made up in great defense.. kam learning how to close games out at the end and finish strong.. refs did okay first half and terrible second half--pacheco playing the crowd again--gave andrade 3 shots on an intentional foul, good thing it wasn't a one pt. game... and a win's a win, and kam's on a role.. good job both teams..

    ...just a thought..

Wow Pahoa lost this will give st.joe a huge D2 lead, and Kam is on a role, Do they still have a chance at making the playoffs?

    Great Summary there Socrates.

"Pressure" Defense was the difference in the end!

Ekau was a beast, he played exceptional well, very hard to defend with that vertical he has (enjoyable to watch). Byrd started off hot then cooled down, during the stretch...

Total team effort for Kamehameha with Apele & Carvalho battling an illness (colds). Adam Andrade stepped up in the crunch!
Coach Dom Pacheco - hats off, making adjustments observed more compassion for his players.
Props to the Pahoa coaches as well...dealing with the refs and getting there players motivated throughout!

    Leaders: Pahoa
    Ekau - 22pts / 9 Rebs / 5 blocks
    Byrd - 11pts / 5 Rebs

    Leaders: Kamehameha
    A. Andrade - 13pts / 2stls / 2 Reb / 2 assist
    L. Apele - 13pts / 3 stls / 3 asst
    J. Cavalho - 11pts / 13 Rebs / 2stls / 2 assist

I totally agree with you Socrates,
The REF's were terrible as well (once again, both ways)
Pat Pacheco and Barry George have got to be the worse officials in the state (let alone the BIIF).
We all pay'd $5 to watch Pacheco take the "lead role" in this emotional roller-coaster. Whats New?

I need to double my medication when Barry "AND" Pacheco take the floor!!! lol

Congrats to both teams sounded like it was a good game all the way through aside from the refs, but what's new?

It's a shame how refs dictate the games so much. Also does anyone else think Barry "Mickey Mouse" George should be banned from reffing games? It just seems like he is always the center of all the trouble in all of the games that have had complaints.

    @ obiwanginoblili,

If not a "ban" A demotion should be in order...

    Barry "mickey" George to JV....

Kimo Miller Varsity - he has done great all season and looks poised for a shot!

If the game is this close and they have no wins against a D-I team this year should KS consider moving the D-II? Their girls team plays in D-II as well as their football team and I've been told that the baseball team is doing the same thing this year also.

@Leftover, Kam has been close in all there games though...I just think that the east is basically neck and neck throughout this year...D1 and D2...Kam should be fine next year....

@bibbyboi, You could be on the money but they have done nothing in the last 2 years while the girls team has been on the money. I wonder if the size of their student body compared to the other D-1 schools in the east is large enough to give them a pool of athletes to build a competitive D-I team.

I heard that Pahoa lost to Kam.But, Pahoas Isaiah Ekau did exceptional:his rebounds, steals, and passes! He was GREAT!On the other hand Jayce Carvalho did Phenominal by getting rebounds and taking it to the whole! It was a good game and now Kam is up!That is a good way to continue from beating St.Joe!

    ballaticion? Kool name!

Yes, Jr. Cabatu plays tough under the boards with
Jr. Carvalho...and along with another youngster from Kamehameha "up and coming" - So. Kaeo Alapai.

They all return next year! If they work hard on the off-season it should be a year to remember for the Warriors!
