As, for the D1 teams there practices arent any better.Should they push the girls or should they just fool around?!
@hawaiiball10:i agree with this because D2 teams need to make a statement to win a D1 games!Kamehameha had those chances but, did they take it?Yesss,i believe that they push themselves!nice job coaches! As, for St.Joe they maybe a unexperience team but, they do try. I think it is a dicipline part for the coach to really push them so they could win a game. Ka'u is doing ok but, the coach should not be taking advice from his own daughter(Amber Pocock).Seriously, whos the coach here?!This should be his decisions and not the players. Pahoa they are trying but, the coach needs to push the team and more running because they do get tired!should the coaches wonder what the players do on the weekend?!

@TADL1: are you sure kam has been taking their practices seriously, if so don't you think they should be beating the D1 teams here.

A good practice can consist of a variety of things. The first thing is that practice should always be harder than the game unless it is the day before the game. If the kids are not drained at the end of practice something is wrong. I have seen a lot a practice over the years and talk to players who know that their practice are a joke and that is a reflection of the coach. There should be a balance of fundamentals and game scheme, both defensively and offensively. Most practice do not focus on the defense nearly as much. The teams who are successful even when their talent level is down are the teams who focus and have their main identity based on defense.

Practice should also be to the point, coaches need to know before practice starts what they want to accomplish for the day. One drill after another with limited breaks. Too many times players are aloud to not give the full effort in practice. Players need to also be held accountable for their actions in practice.

Sorry I'm out! I can go on for days about practice.

I do agree to the point where i think depending on certain practices, D2 teams should be tough competitors within the D1 title.
But if Kamehameha practices are not tough enough, it's their loss and their winning titles on the line...so step it up coaches!

I must have been confused. I thought this post was about what makes a good practice. Not what is wrong with other teams practices. Sorry about that.
