Got to root for Butler. We are in the ending of "Hoosiers 2"

Damn this one is so tough.
I always root for Duke but I dont have them winning the bracket this year. I need them to lose in order to win.

Duke doesn't hit, Singler and Scheyer struggle, Smith turns into a star. Baylor pulls out an ugly one.

    Baylor 56
    Duke 52

@pickup, Baylor already lost to Duke douche. its Butler. get it correct and then maybe u can sound smart.

ill take the underdog, BUTLER..not Baylor, by 5

  5. Pickup...make sure you read what you write before you post. McKevin is right its butler, not baylor.

Even though im pulling for Butler to win, I have Duke by 10. To big and to good at rebounding. The big three are gonna combine for 40 points.

    Duke 52
    Baylor 42

I'll just pick the first half score, a guess, something like:

    Duke 33
    Butler 32

Maybe in about 30 to 40 minutes, I'll give my best guess, my final answer! (lol)

Okay, I'll take a final guess, of course, a long shot ... that just misses.

    The final:
    Duke 61
    Butler 59

    It was a great game.

Good to hear from you JM. Did they make the hire at Kalaheo yet? It will be a damn shame if Mr. Marciel does not get the job. Damn shame.

B-Jones -- Actually I was working and missed most of the game, although I was trying to catch a few glimpses on TV and then listened to the radio on a short dinner break.

I read a lot of the stories on AP and the web, great comments from the coaches and players. A great game for the fans.

Like RC, I was pulling for Butler. But seeing Coach K. win and his team put it all together in a strong finish in the season and tournament was nice for the Blue Devils.

Overall, a fun tournament to watch. Much respect to both schools. The title game, like the Iolani-Kamehameha state final, showed basketball fans how the game should be played. A lot of class all the way around.

Basketball, you gotta love the game -- just not my predictions! (lol)

Sup RC. I've been around, just haven't posted too much. As of Saturday there hadn't been word.

Aside from his previous tenure at Kalaheo, he has put in a tremendous amount of time going back to last summer.

TBH, it's tough listening to everything he wants to do, knowing there is an outside shot he may not even get to attempt it(as far fetched as it may seem). I think that both the players and the school will sorely miss out on a rewarding opportunity should he not be hired.

Nothing against the other candidate of course, but I just don't know many other people who bleed Orange and Blue like Walt. He's the one who planned the AAU team and put in the time last/this summer. He's the one who had his wife work the concession every game of the week to pay for the kids warm-ups/shoes. Players parents endorsed him openly, Chico endorsed him, I don't really know who isn't endorsing him TBH.

You said it best, "Damn Shame."
