Punahou Boys Basketball Head Coach (Hiring Monday)

    So I have been told (not authenticated by the school) that a new coach will be named this upcoming Monday.

    These are the people who supposedly had interviews:

    Kekoa Taliaferro (Punahou JV Boys Head Coach)
    Kelly Grant (Kaimuki Varsity Boys Head Coach)
    Alan Ching (Punahou Varsity Girls Assistant Coach)
    Gary Pacarro (Punahou Varsity II Boys Head Coach)
    Kevin Velasco (Punahou Varsity II Girls Coach)
    Chick Hess (Steve Hess' pops, LOL)
    Darren Matsuda (Punahou Intermediate I Boys Head Coach)
    Scott Leitner (Former Punahou Intermediate I Boys Head Coach)
    Micah Kroeger (Former UH Player/Kamehameha Varsity Boys Head Coach)

    There were also a few mainlanders who interviewed.......

    I know Shaka, it doesn't matter, haha.....

    Wow Kelly Grant applying too the school that he beat in the state shampionship couple years ago.Can you say awkward? But dont get me wrong he is a good coach and all. I guess he sees nothing left since Tautofi has left.

    After talking to some of the appropriate people, the school will either name a hire on Monday or have a second interview for a select few.

    Sorry, Darren doesn't have that much clout to get u one of those. If he did, school wouldn't let Hale demote him before Hale left.

    Punahou is a star studded school with unstandingly talented athletes.With huge talent comes huge egos.Sorry, but Darren is not ready for the head coaching responsibilties that comes with the commander and chief postion at the varsity level.Certainly not at Punahou.Darren shall retain his recruiting position.He's good at it.

    No, the only guys who get passes generate money for the school. Sorry BBJ but Punahou is after money not bball titles. And 1 title in 10 years isn't makin gthe trustees jumping for joy if u know what I mean.....

    Kekoa Taliaferro (Punahou JV Boys Head Coach) - da boyz tell me hes all g, but has he coached vars?

    Kelly Grant (Kaimuki Varsity Boys Head Coach) - he may be gud for the project kids who cannot speak english. but at pun u gotta be able to talk and communicate. can he speak one complete sentence?

    Alan Ching (Punahou Varsity Girls Assistant Coach)- dis guy haz been dere forever. dey ain't hiring dem.

    Gary Pacarro (Punahou Varsity II Boys Head Coach) - deres one reasons he stay coaching d2 for the past 10 years. dey aint hiring dis guy either.

    Kevin Velasco (Punahou Varsity II Girls Coach) - no offense but whos dis guy?

    Chick Hess (Steve Hess' pops, LOL) - maybe if the game was still shot into one peach basket den this is ur man. is this the job opening for the 79 puns team?

    Darren Matsuda (Punahou Intermediate I Boys Head Coach) - if da job was for gm or recruiter den he's ur guy. but the job is for one coach and dis guy aint one coach.

    Scott Leitner (Former Punahou Intermediate I Boys Head Coach) - once again, who the hell is this? sounds like one study hall teacher.

    Micah Kroeger (Former UH Player/Kamehameha Varsity Boys Head Coach) - maybe if the job was to get kids to quit den dis is ur man.
