    for some reason keep posting this kids achievement from like 3rd grade. I mean the kids a good guy and a great student but really does anyone think that this guy will play at USC? Oh and any really bball fan knows that UCLA is part of the NBA player factory. RJ good guy but USC or UCLA will not waste a full ride on this guy. He may attend due to his studies and may walk on but never play...i mean never ever play

    I agree he goes to their camps but their walk in camps if you have the money to go to them then any body can go like first come first serve type of thing, as long as you got the money, do you guys really think USC or ucla will pick up a kid from Hawaii that averages 13 points a game if that's the case I'm going their too no no no no I'm going Kentucky or Kansas

    He is not going to play for them for sure. Walk on maybe. UCLA and USC are having down years so recruiting might be limited but I doubt it.

    @mrtirade

    Your right about "pay and you play" camps. There are post saying that he has done so much at camps but like u said these are not invite camps. These camp dont have anytype of standards that you must meet to attend. All i can say is that one day the kid will be DR. Griffin which is great but he'll never be PG or SG Griffin from any of those schools

    @Cali why you Hating? Tell us something we don't already Know? Hawaii is not a basketball state more of a Football & Baseball state in terms of sending kids to D1 colleges or the professional ranks. Doesn't mean we(LOCALS) can't be passionate about local basketball. Damn congrats to RJ Griffin man so what he not going play at those schools? At least he going somewhere and that's the bottom line

    I Agree With BigShow. You Guys Are Just Blatently Hating On The Kid. You Should Be Happy For Him. You Never Know, Kids Improve At Different Rates At Different Times. Hell, Michael Jordan Didn't Even Make His HS Team His First Year, He Ended Up Being The Greatest Ever. Also There Are Several NBA Players Who Never Played Organized Ball Until Late Into Their High School Years. You Should Be Wishing Him The Best And Hoping He Does Well. Always Have To Root For Anyone Giving Hawaii Some Recognition.

    I wish Griffin the best of luck. He's a good kid with a lot of upside. He will get better when he gets into college.

    iam sure rj is a great kid i know him personally and i wish him all the luck in the world but iam sure the negativity is aimed at his dad not him, his dad is interesting to say the least. again its parents living thur there kids and not seeing the complete package, i hope rj remains a great player and person in spite of his father, reggie.

    No one is hating on RJ. I have said manytimes that the kid is a good kid and a great student. What i am saying is that from the other post on this site it states things like UCLA and USC want this kid. All im saying is lets just keep it real....this kid can play somewhat for this small island but on the national level which those two school are he cant compete. That is all I'm saying.
