Sounds like you guys still going strong. Haven't been able to make many of your games this season, but the team appears to have meshed well since the preseason. Good luck in the playoffs!

Kurihara and Swanson are two of MPI's better players, however, both seem to find themselves in foul trouble quite often. Kurihara was doing well against St Louis in the first half, until he picked up his second foul under the basket. Does a good coach leave his best guard in the game when that player has a penchant for picking up silly fouls and already has two in the first half? If these two players are MPI's horses, it makes no sense to leave them in the game to the point where they may tire towards the end. Substituting has to be made.

If the bench is weak, like you say, who are the coaches supposed to play at the end of games? They struggle handling the ball to begin with, leaving Dobovan out of the game only limits their ability to get up the court. Maybe the kid is not being rewarded. Instead, others are not stepping up to bat, so to speak. He did hit a clutch three ball and four free throws in the OT against the Saints.

Yes, you've mentioned many times that Matthews should be in the post, but it doesn't appear to be his natural position, despite his size. Look and Malik Johnson from Punahou, tall but not a low post player. Micah Christenson is also a wing, as is Marcus Monroe from Moanalua. All are 6'4" or taller. Maybe they have tried to post him up, as they tried to do against Maryknoll. If he's not comfortable there, then it won't be successful, no matter his size.

Again, it's very easy to look at a situation from the outside and criticize. Neither you, nor I know what goes on in practice and behind closed doors. I'm as frustrated with their play as the next supporter, but you don't see me here on the blog saying that the coaches should do this or that, or need to step it up. It is what it is.

well on thing is that matthews can do anything on the outside so all i was doing is just stating my opinion that he should be in the inside so he can be productive instead of taking up space.
and for dobovon besides hitting a 3 he really doesnt do much for them. i mean he may have potential i guess but not this year.

    who are you gym fighter??

Actually, truthfully Damien would beat St. Louis in Basketball. They are only strong in football.

@BBallerB, Damien played St. Louis twice this year and lost both times. So that is the truth factually.
