1) konawena too deep defending champs
2) punahou nice mix of talent mostly jrs
3) mid pac senior loaded, last year to win, coaching suspect
4) moanalua few very skilled players ( jasmine, joanne )
5) lahinaluna good team should dominate maui
6) iolani good guard play, lacks size, still didnt get over the maeda defection.
7) farrington size no disipline
8) kam big island
9) kam kapalama always in the hunt.

Kam Big Island??? They lucky they going win half there games. They lose there 2 top scores. But we see. What about Keaau? Waiakea? Just Curiuos

sorry biiffan not familar with those two teams maybe you can fill me in, as for the other picks what do you think, lahinaluna too low? also heard that jenny ching from punahou has a significant injury. mid pac beat farrington by 9, tonight mid pac plays @ roosevelt.

I think Lahianaluna should move up. They beat Kam Hawaii by a big margin
As for the Big Island teams:
Keaau got a couple transfers from Waiakea and another one from Hilo. They also return a couple starters and should contend with Waiakea and Hilo.Waiakea still has all state player Kamie Imai. They return 4 starters. They also are very young starting 2 soph and 1 freshmen.
Should be a good year for the BIIF's

nice list brew, didnt think roosevelt had much this season, i know they got shena kawakami, a transfer from mid pac, but shes under sized and prone to foul.that being said dont you think waiakea belongs on the list?

kdawg33, I think they have a couple of good returnees at the gaurd position, and they have a really good big in Thoemmes. And with the transfer I think they will be alright. As for Waiakea they have a top player in Imai, but they are pretty young and inexperienced. They will have a few test this preseason and if they are able to pass those test they will probably crack the top ten. Let me know how Roosevelt does against Mid Pac. This should be a good game. Another good game tonight is Kona vs. Lahainaluna at Konawaena.

Konawaena beat Luna good game with Lia playing wow!
Wall was great tonite as well. Kona girls pulled it off.Konawaena beat Kamehameha Hilo as well with Lia getting some playing time.

Yeah Biiffan.... luna girls beat kam girls in Keauu they deserve to move up, watched kam girls play against molokai today and wasnt impressed Kam girls had a point gaurd that just turns over the ball ALOT, not sure why the coaches keep her in through the whole game i think any other coach would sub her out! im not familiar with names to much but her number is 3 she is weak in the mind pity.... there was a number 15 on that team impressive I could be wrong but I think her last name is apele.... her sense to attack and get off those 3's when the team needed it the most just put some needed motivation into the team. Moloka'i let it get too close but pulled it out at the end. Good job farmers.

#3 is the assistant coaches daughter. She plays hard and is fast, but she only 10 grade.
I think Lahainaluna should move up and I also feel Waiakea should be in the top ten. They beat Pearl City, Mililani and Keaau.. But we see. They going up Oahu sometime soon. Also Kona, Kam and Keaau going to Maui also.

ohhh... okay makes sense, 10th grade... still she gatta step it up especially being the captian and point. Kona got a bunch of 10th graders too, but i dont see them turnover balls like her. She's fast plays hard, but still gets frustrated easy and starts fouling and always crying on the court, I notice its never her fault but she blame her teamates on the court. I have no patience for that. That must be the man yelling at her on the court her dad.
I agree with Luna moving up, and Waikea, Im shocked they werent on the list. Yeah Molokai goes to Maui as well and to Oahu next week for the Moanalua Tourney. I think Kam is looking for a rematch.... in Maui. Molokai has to go up on the list as well above Kam.

konawaena did really well on their tournament.....molokai should move up....great team with Hooper.... she is talented....

brew- mpi over roosevelt @ roosevelt by 15 or so, roosevelt didnt look good couldnt tell who the head coach bob or the girl? there maybe a interesting matchup @ the iolani if both teams lose there first round could be mpi vs kona on friday

watched mpi didnt impress me 3rd in ilh at best more likely 4th, kona looked very good heads and shoulders above everybody.

MPI has the most talent in the ILH but have nothing to show for it. It's time they get some better coaches. Iolani is competitive since they upgraded and got Coach Eddie.
