We've all been talking about the upcoming season for quite a while now, tournaments, teams, etc. But who do you guys think are sleepers for this coming year? Who's going to make a difference on their team that no one expected coming into the year? Maybe then we'll get to see who on here actually knows their basketball as the season progresses. SHOOTZ

I like Fernandez, just needs to be more aggresive when he has the ball. Very good shooter.
The guy who I like the best on your Kalaheo team is the guy with the beard who looks like he's 30 years old. The guy is great around the basketball and plays hard on defense.

buckets, with tautofi in the post, taulungs style is perfect. i've seen him grow into a much better all around point guard from his freshman year till now, and from what i saw lastnite at pearl city compared to last years season without him at point, Kaimuki is a serious contender this year.

pearl city? really? do you really think kaimuki can match up with the big schools like iolani and punahou with an average guard and okay post?

i would not say tatofi is an okay post.
punahou and iolani have any better?

They may not be X Factors, but Dean Viena (STL) and his cuz Blake Viena (Kamehameha) will both contribute greatly to thier team this season. Desmond Tautofi (Kaim) is a frickin human recking ball! I will also throw in Honolulu Shark teamates Nick Christmon (Iol) and Kainoa Gaddis (Pun) they will be quiet contributors cleaning up the boards and playing the unsung hero role this season.

There is a 6'9 275pound transfer that will be enrolling at Iolani school within the next week and a half.

    His name is Abdullah Fata'ai.

Really. Well, I heard Sealii Epanesa will be joining this year's Iolani varsity b-ball team. He's got good size and Iolani could use his wide body.

I honestly think Tautofi will be a dominant force this year. Definite All-OIA, maybe All-State.

Howzit Campbellboy52...much mahalo for the scoops brother!

I have some good friends that coach the Campbell girls so I like to cheer for them any chance I get. I don't know if you know who the Curran's are but they are really good people and are very good coaches as well.

Sorry to hear that about your Sabers not looking so good this year, but you just never know what may happen...all you can do is show your support for your friends and classmates on the court.

    Take care bro.
