If possible, are rosters available for both the Hawaii Raiders and Team Hawaii?
Thanks.

Sorry, I don’t have all the roster info. Here’s what I know:
The Hawaii Raiders included mainly Iolani and St. Louis players. Among them were Taylor Mounts (Iolani), Cole Shidaki (St. Louis) & Jameson Miller (St. Louis)
Team Hawaii included a mixture of players… most notably Kimo Makaula (Punahou) and Liloa Nobriga (formerly Iolani).
If anyone else can help here… please do.

Since Nobriga is gone from Iolani, where does that leave the Raiders and this upcoming season? Obviously, they had to have been easily top 3 in the ILH and a lock for the post-season, but now with Nobriga gone, it seems like they will really be tested this year trying to find their new identitiy.
Thanks.

Losing Nobriga will force several others to pick up their production, especially on the inside. Taylor Mounts and Pablo Warner will have to play extended minutes and increase their offensive output… In addition, a few of the younger players will need to step into bigger roles.
From a team perspective, Iolani should still be right in the mix since no one really stands out this year. With the team they have, they have just as good a chance as anyone else.
The ILH should be an extremely competitive league this coming year with as many as 5 teams in contention for the title… Besides the Raiders, there’s Punahou, St. Louis, Kamehameha and even Mid Pacific.

Why did Nobriga leave? Is he going to Kalaheo? Does his father think that he is really that good. From what I noticed when I watched, he disappered ALOT during games. Games when he should’ve dominated and didn’t. I think that the team will be better without him. Granted he is talented and all, but I don’t think that he would’ve been the player to seperate Iolani from other schools.

Howzit Hoopsfan…apparently, Liloa N. left because his father decided to relocate the family to Las Vegas, NV. I don’t think the move had anything to do with sports or school…basically a family decision.
While losing Liloa will definitely impact Iolani, I think they are still one of the better teams in the state, especially with Doc M. and staff.

no doubt about the coaching staff. I remember attending a luncheon the year after D-Low graduated and Doc said that they would be competitive, but not dominate. What happened…they went undefeated and won their 5 title! AMAZING! Anyways, looking forward to another year of bball!

I heard during some summer practices Derrick Low, Kyle Pape and the Anderson brothers come out and help. Couple that with Doc’s staff and the boys at Iolani are exposed to some of Hawaii’s best most-recent high school/college basketball players.
